Mama’s May Vacation

The past 3 years I’ve taken a little break in May and flown to Florida to meet up with my sister and long-time friends.  It’s just 4 grown ups (I guess) (and 2 doggies), poking around here and there, hanging, visiting, riding around and doing stuff.  It’s a nice time.

The sand squeaks as you walk.  We saw a whole slew of dolphins (not all happy to see us) on a Dolphin Adventure, I held an alligator (very different from “I carried a watermelon.”) and took an airboat ride to see an 8′ alligator mama and some of her babies.  I bought art, we poked around in art shows and studios and had our very own craft night!

It was Turtlewatch13 and Shrimpfest13 and all kinds of good times.  Can’t hardly wait for next year.

  1. That sign you are holding made me laugh out loud! As did the Dirty Dancing reference. Sounds like it was a great time!

I’ve only been to Florida twice but I enjoyed both times that I went. It was a great place to visit regarding ART and I’m glad you enjoyed the vacation!

okay, that photo of the little dog in sunglasses is the BEST!

  4. What fun! Looks like it was a really great escape!
